Are you ready for the last BC Vex Event of the season?  April 6 and 7th we’ll be holding the Pacific Northwest Regional Championships at BCIT.  Many thanks to BCIT for hosting this event.

The event will be in the Recreation Center .  There’s lots of parking in the lot across the road and to the south in the Pay Parking Lot Blue Zone Lot D.  If you’re dropping off,  or coming for a short visit,  there’s also a visitor lot – Visitor Parking 3.

RECF Announces Change to Alliances for 2018 VEX Worlds

This week, RECF announced an update to the VEX elimination rounds structure.

Instead of the having eight 3 – team alliances playing best of three matches for the elimination rounds,  VEX Worlds will move to 16 alliances made of 2 teams. Elimination rounds will be single rounds, not best 2 out of 3.

The intent is for this single-elimination format to roll out to all events in the 2018-2019 season.

For VRC, the following document contains the relevant updates: https://link.vex.com/docs/vex-in-the-zone/WorldsUpdate

The full game manual has been updated to reflect these changes: https://link.vex.com/docs/vex-in-the-zone/InTheZone-GameManual

For IQ, the new rule is found as T6 in the regular game manual: http://link.vex.com/docs/vexiq-ringmaster/GameManual
