Penguin Robotics is a recently formed student-run robotics society that is making a powerful contribution to the competitive robotics community in BC.

Formed just two years ago by Gladstone Robosavages alumni, the Penguin Robotics team are both paying it forward and continuing their pursuit of robotics excellence. Between university classes they manage to fit in mentoring local youth in VEX, volunteering to run all aspects of local VEX Robotics Competitions, as well as continuing to pursue robotics excellence by competing in the 2016-2017 VEXU (VEX University level program) Starstruck Challenge.
Tech InspectionEarly Saturday morning, the Penguins arrive to volunteer in numerous roles such as referees, technical judging and robot skills. Their experiences and insights from participating in the competition provide are a valuable asset when paired with industry volunteers from across the Lower Mainland. Their dedication has made it possible for PYRS to hold additional competitions this year.


After the award winners are crowned, the Penguin team reverses the whole process and ensures that everything is packed up into a truck for the next tournament.
