Delta, BC, March 12, 2016 – BC secondary school students showed off their world class robotics design, driving, and competitive skills at the 2015-2016 BC Provincial Championships for VEX Robotics this weekend.
Teams from secondary schools across the province competed for a spot at the 2015-2106 World Championships. The final match saw Team 9181B from Seaquam allied with 1039a from Highland and 2S from Gladstone competing against two more Gladstone teams – 2R and 2Z – and 6264D Shawnigan Lake School. The Seaquam-Highland-Gladstone Alliance won the Tournament, and all six team will be headed to Worlds.
Gladstone’s team 2R took the Excellence Award and won Programming skills for the event, while 2Z from Gladstone received the Design Award.
Seaquam 9181B won Robot Skills, while Highland 1039A took the Amaze Award.
From West Vancouver, Team 1010A from West Vancouver Seconary School took the Create Award, while Collingwood’s 9594C won the Judges Award. Vancouver Technical Secondary’s Team 600R won the Build Award.
